This is a variation on a drawing I did along time ago when I was first deveolping this style. I always wonder what a king would be doing in a tree. Is there some grand magical kingdom deep down inside full of mysterious creatures and wonderful heroic tales? Or is he just trying to hide from kids who keep asking him to play Monopoly?

I'm glad to see that you are posting again. -Karleigh
Awesome Steve! I like how the shape of your tree trunk tucks in at the bottom, randomly whimsical and cool!
Thanks Jay. I wish I could have spent more time on this drawing in particular but I've learned that if I'm trying to be perfect I will never get anything done.
Close. The true answer is revealed in the presence of the Madagascar Red Owl — Tyto soumagnei — a rare resident of Madagascar that was virtually unknown until1993. It nests in tree-cavities, although there is only one record of a nest being found, and that nest was found by King Soumagnei while playing hide-n-seek with his 5 spoiled children.
